• COVER fluxes, designed to put a protective barrier between the surface of the metal and the atmosphere, prevent the unnecessary loss of good metallics to oxidation. This product also prevents oxides from precipitating out of the dross and becoming suspended throughout the bath, or building up on the floor of the furnace, by providing a viscous semi-liquid mass that holds the dross.
• DROSSING fluxes that we formulate are slightly exothermic. They rely on the extreme heat generated when the flux combines with the free aluminum in the dross. This heat allows the free metallics to separate from the dross, precipitating removal.
• CLEANING fluxes are mixed throughout the melt. They assist in the softening of build up on the walls and floor of the furnace to permit the removal of suspended contamination from the bath.
